COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT

PT Arkonin Engineering Manggala Pratama has had much experience in the field of Community Empowerment, form Program Urban Poverty (P2KP) is a government program  that is in substance seeks to reduce poverty through the concept of empowering the community and local development, including Local Government and a group of concerned local and finally transformed into the National Community Empowerment program, or PNPM program in the form of PNPM Urban and currently Kotaku program (Cities without Slums).  

The services performed expertise include: assisting local communities in economic empowerment, infrastructure development of settlements according to the needs of society or bottom-up planning (involving the community began planning, supervision and physical development).
Some of the major projects that have been carried out will be described below:

 

 National Community Empowerment Program (PNPM)

PT. Arkonin Manggala Pratama Engineering have participated in empowerment activities since P2KP II stage 1 in 2002 and continues to follow the development of the project to be PNPM Urban until 2012. In starting accompanying Banten province, later expanded to accompany Jakarta, West Kalimantan, Jambi, Riau and Riau Islands, covering more than 700 villages and enabled more than 500 facilitators community facilitators. The Direct Community Assistance funds are managed successfully reached more than 150 billion being used to work on projects scale village community as determined by the local residents.
Urban PNPM activities is the integration of empowerment and capacity building in the implementation of PNPM Urban community to encourage local economic development (Local Economic Development) and the creation of livelihoods for the poor (livelihood).

 WSLIC (Water and Sanitation for Low Income Communities)

PT. Arkonin Engineering Mangala Primary participate in the activities of the Directorate General of Communicable Disease Control and Environmental Health (DG PPM & PL), Ministry of Health.

For program activities Second Water and Sanitation for Low Income Communities Project, Package F: West Sumatra Province (Loan IBRD No. 3382-IND) - (Original Contract - Addendum III and Single Source Selection) in which was held on March 2002 s / d in July 2006 , Location: Kab. Solok, Pesisir Selatan, Sawahlunto Sijunjung, Pasaman, Prov. West Sumatra
This activity is a technical assistance grant the Village including:

  1. Management oversight and support to the commmunity Facilitator (CF) during the preparation of Community Action Plan (CAP), school activities and the related public health and water supply unit creation and management of sanitation to ensure the sustainability of the post-project, including the preparation of community agreements in selected villages.
  2. Technical support to CF and Village Implementation Team (VIT) with the preparation of detailed engineering design (DED) for water and sanitation facilities for the participating institutions of the village.
  3. Technical support to the CF and the community with the construction work in accordance with the approved CAP.

 

 

 PAMSIMAS (Community-based Water Supply)

PT. Arkonin Engineering Manggala Pratama participate in activities at PAMSIMAS program.
The success in the implementation of Pamsimas I, the Government of Indonesia to continue this program for the second phase, namely Pamsimas II from 2013 until 2016. On a cumulative basis, Pamsimas Program has been implemented in about 12,000 villages in 222 districts in 32 provinces. As Pamsimas I, II Pamsimas It receives support from the World Bank and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

Pamsimas II continued efforts to achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) in the field of drinking water and sanitation. To help accelerate the achievement of the MDGs, Pamsimas II combines two programs: “Water for All” which is managed by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing of the People and “Community-Led Total Sanitation (STBM)” managed by the Ministry of Health. As of May 2016,
Thus, at the end of 2020. This program is expected to assist the provision of safe drinking water and sanitation in around 27,000 villages with a total population gain additional access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation respectively 22.1 million and 14.5 million. Pamsimas program will be implemented in 359 districts and 33 provinces.

 

 SANIMAS (Community Based Sanitation)

PT. Arkonin Engineering Manggala Pratama participate in activities SANIMAS program organized by the Ministry of public works and Housing, Directorate General of Human Settlements, PLP Development Directorate, through the Environmental Health Unit Community-Based Settlement in 2016 by:

a. Monitoring, evaluating and reviewing the activities SANIMAS (Community Based Sanitation), 2016.
b. Providing assistance and the implementation of community empowerment process for SANIMAS, 2016.

The objective of this activity is the district / city get SANIMAS activity in 2016, consisted of 257 point locations spread over 158 districts / cities in 32 provinces (according to data from the Sub-Directorate of Technical Planning)

 

 

 

 CWSHP (Community Water Services and Health Project)

PT. Arkonin Engineering Mangala Primary participate in the activities in the program of the Directorate General of Communicable Disease Control and Environmental Health (DG PPM & PL), Ministry of Health. Overshadow activities Community Water Services and Health Project (CWSHP) with the location of Bengkulu and West Kalimantan, held on May 12, 2008 s / d Nov 2011, these activities aimed at improving the health status and quality of life of the population of Indonesia is in line with the MDGs targets on providing clean water and sanitation , these programs perform activities such as:

  • Providing access to safe drinking water and adequate sanitation
  • Increase healthy lifestyle of rural low-income communities
  • Increasing the capacity of the district pemerindah to provide and regulate water and sanitation services
  • Empowering people to accept responsibility for ministry in earnest based on need, community-based approach and raise awareness about clean living -healthy.
